随着新型冠状病毒(COVID-19)在全球超过100多个国家地区肆虐并发生疫情,越来越严重的发展势态,也冲击着全球各行业在今年的发展走势,许多行业的商业展会也因此被迫暂停,影响甚重

随着新型冠状病毒(COVID-19)在全球超过100多个国家地区肆虐并发生疫情,越来越严重的发展势态,也冲击着全球各行业在今年的发展走势,许多行业的商业展会也因此被迫暂停,影响甚重。全球主题游乐行业重点展会-IAAPA,在这波疫情的影响下,展会主办方-美国国际游乐园及景点协会(IAAPA)也在3月11日发布媒体新闻稿宣布,鉴于新型冠状病毒(COVID-19)在全球的发展及影响,参考了来自IAAPA成员意见,经过严谨评估决定将原定于2020年6月8-11日在中国澳门·威尼斯人会展中心举办的【2020年IAAPA亚洲博览会】(IAAPA Asia)延期至2021年6月。以下为官宣内容:

IAAPA总裁兼首席执行官HalMcEvoy表示,“确保IAAPA成员及团队的安全与健康一直是我们首要的任务,“IAAPA董事会参考了来自IAAPA成员的意见,经过严谨的评估,最终决定延期举办2020年IAAPA亚洲博览会。自一月初以来,我们一直密切关注着新型冠状病毒的疫情发展情况,同时与我们的全球团队及成员保持紧密联系。要作出这一决定并非易事,但我们相信,这是对参展商和观众最合适的决定。将博览会延期至2021年举办的决定是基于目前各类最新信息,包括全球的商旅影响与限制、当前对健康安全的考虑,以及新冠病毒的持续发展等。”

McEvoy说,“IAAPA致力于支持全球景点行业,我们将继续为受疫情影响的成员提供协助,”McEvoy继续说道,“我们同时与IAAPA亚洲博览会的参展商保持沟通,他们一直在耐心等待主办方对于今年博览会所或会做出的决定。我们十分感谢参展商的谅解和耐心。”

目前已签约的2020年IAAPA亚洲博览会参展商,可以联系IAAPA全球销售团队(邮件:ExhibitSales@IAAPA.org )商讨延期以及2021年在中国澳门的参展相关政策和安排。同时也可向全球销售团队咨询9月在英国伦敦举办的2020年IAAPA欧洲博览会和11月在美国佛罗里达州奥兰多举办的2020年IAAPA博览会的展位预定信息。这两场博览会的参观登记将分别于4月和5月开始。

IAAPA将继续通过世界各地的区域办事处,就新型冠状病毒疫情向成员提供支持。最新信息和全球资源将定期于IAAPA官网发布。此外,IAAPA会时刻跟进及遵循世界卫生组织的建议。

 

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, todayannounced the postponement of IAAPA Expo Asia 2020 to 2021 in response to thecoronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The Expo was scheduled to take place 8-11 Junein Macao, China, at the Venetian Macao. The 2021 event will take place in June.

 

“The health and safety of our members and our team is always ourtop priority,” said Hal McEvoy, president and CEO, IAAPA. “After extensiveevaluation and input from members, the IAAPA Board of Directors has made thedecision to postpone IAAPA Expo Asia 2020. Since early January, we have beenclosely monitoring the rapidly evolving coronavirus outbreak and have been inconstant contact with our global team and members. While this is not an easydecision, we are confident it is the right one, and in best interest of ourexhibitors and attendees. The decision to postpone the Expo until 2021 is basedon information we have at this time including global travel concerns andrestrictions, the current health situation, and continued unknowns regardingthe coronavirus.”

 

“IAAPA is committed to supporting the global attractions industry,and we will continue to assist members impacted by the coronavirus,” continuedMcEvoy. “We are working with the many IAAPA Expo Asia exhibitors who have beenpatient with us as we studied all possible options this year. We are gratefulfor their patience and understanding.” 

 

Current contracted IAAPA Expo Asia 2020 exhibitors should contactthe IAAPA Global Sales Team at ExhibitSales@IAAPA.org to discuss optionsrelated to the postponement and exhibiting in Macao in 2021. They can also talkwith the team about booking exhibit space for IAAPA Expo Europe 2020 in Londonin September and IAAPA Expo 2020 in Orlando this November. Attendee registrationfor those shows opens in April and May respectively.

 

IAAPA has been providing ongoing member support through itsregional offices around the world about the coronavirus outbreak. Regularupdates and global resources can be found on the association’s website. IAAPAhas also been closely following recommendations from the World HealthOrganization.
